Obituary For Hannah Kathleen Watkins

Hannah Kathleen Watkins passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the age of 29 after a year long fight with cancer. Hannah was born on February 24, 1993 to Jim and Kathy Harrison, and is survived by her husband Josh, her parents, her sisters Corinne (Nick) and Charlotte (Greg) and Josh's family - parents Colleen and John Davis, and brother Colton Watkins.

Hannah was a 2011 graduate of Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach, earned a Bachelor Of Science in Nursing degree from Old Dominion University in 2015, and worked as a Registered Nurse at Sentara Leigh Hospital. She enjoyed traveling, hiking, rock climbing, board games, decorating her home and spending time with her loved ones and many friends. She will forever be remembered for her compassion, courage, endless grace, and Christian faith. She always had a kind word for everyone, even during the worst of her sickness, and worked to bring comfort to those around her. Hannah was beautiful in every way; she saw beauty in every person, thing, and moment.

A Celebration Service of Hannah's life will be held at Wave Church, 1000 N. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach, VA, on December 3, 2022, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hannah's memory may be made to the Duke Cancer Institute Sarcoma and Bone Cancers Fund at www.gifts.duke.edu/dci

I went to elementary school with Hannah. She was always so kind and welcoming. I had terrible anxiety as a kid and remember her kindness. Praying her for her family.

When Josh brought Hannah into our lives he gave all of us a gift of immeasurable value. Very few people on this earth are beautiful inside and out, giving and compassionate to everyone. Hannah was one of those beautiful people. Our lives will forever be better having her with us even for such a short time. Things will never be "right" without her but I know she would want us to remember the good times and not dwell on this past year. I love you, Hannah. You will always be with those of us who loved you so very much. God has gained an Angel. Love, Granny

Hannah & I rode the same bus to school from middle school up until 10th/11th grade of high school . Although we were never close she was always so sweet & never had a bad thing to say about anyone. Hannah was kind to everyone around her, including myself and I will never forget that. My condolences to her husband & family.
