  Iâ??m so very sorry to hear of the passing of Ms Hattie.
  I came to know her from volunteering at
  VB Healthcare and we would always take time to chat about most anything, but she often loved to talk about her son, Lawrence. I always asked Hattie if I could bring her something & she always simply asked for â??peppermints â?? which I always gladly brought her. Every time I see a peppermint candy, I will be reminded of what a sweet soul Hattie was, and she truly was! She always had a warm smile & a kind word for me. I will miss that lovely woman.....

  I was just told of my friends passing today. I met Ms.Hattie when I worked as a housekeeper where she lived and we became immediate buddies because we shared the same first name. We would talk about everything and she could always make me laugh. And yes she did love her peppermint candy. Even when I left the facility I would visit her because she was such a sweet lady. Rest well Ms.Hattie, I will have a nip of Gin in your memory
