I only recently met Mr Handy while working as a RN at Beth Sholom. I asked if he had been a lawyer as he seemed to present himself like a true Southern gentleman. He laughed and said his grandfather, his father, and his brother were all lawyers. He preferred the outdoors and became a civil engineer. I remember the photo of his wife next to an orchid on his bedside table. I hope he is with her now. What a lovely man.
