Obituary For Irene P. Taylor

Virginia Beach, VA

Irene P. Taylor, age 76, went to be with The Lord on Saturday, September 7, 2013.

She was from Andrews, NC, but spent most of her life living in Virginia Beach, VA. She was a kind, caring, loving Mother to her four children, Austin, Deborah, Lewis, Kermit. She was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Julia Passmore; her brother, Leon Passmore; and her son, Kermit Taylor.

She is survived by her sisters, Otellia Mathis, Roberta Hicks, Katie Parker, Ruth Coker; and her brother, Lawson Passmore and wife Evelyn; daughter, Deborah Petty and husband Henry L. Petty Jr.; sons, Austin Taylor and wife Cindy, and Lewis Taylor; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and several grandchildren.

She lived her last years with her son, Austin Taylor and his wife Cindy in Virginia Beach. Her daughter, Deborah Petty and husband Henry L. Petty Jr. live nearby in Elizabeth City, NC. Her son, Lewis Taylor resides in GA.

Irene was affectionately known as Jane by her siblings and relatives in GA and NC. There will be a small private Memorial in Virginia Beach, VA. There will also be a Family Celebration of Life at Wolf Fork Baptist Church in Rabun Gap, GA. At 1pm Saturday September 14, 2013.

    Irene (Jane) was my Mother-in -Law. She was a gentle spirit. She lived with us for a lot of years but never told me much about her younger years. I've learned she had a adventurist spirit hiding inside her. She was admired, loved and cherished by her family and friends. I'd like to send my Condolences to All her Loved Ones and Friends.     Mom, I will miss you with a very broken heart ALWAYS! Your kind, loving, caring, patient , and generous soul will keep my heart filled with so many happy memories. When I think of you, I see my beautiful Mom with a very sweet smile. There is no love greater than a Mom's unconditional love.
