Obituary For Jack Wilson
Jack Wilson, 54, treasured Husband, Dad, and Papa, passed away peacefully, June 30th, 2021 at his home surrounded by his immediate family. He was born in Harlan, KY, and grew up in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, where he attended Kempsville High School. Jack worked almost forty years as a talented and conscientious mechanic for the Beetle Shop, Virginia Beach Volkswagen, Lynnhaven Auto Sales, and Southern Hospitality Group. He spent the last fifteen years working for the City of Virginia Beach Fleet Management Facility, most recently in the Fire Shop. Jack enjoyed and loved his family immensely, riding his Harley on sunny days, cooking for family and friends, chilling out with his three chihuahuas, traveling, and fishing. He was a stickler for always reading instructions before any task and had a special gift for fixing almost anything, especially if it was already broken. Jack was a strong, generous, wonderful man, with a gentle soul, quick wit, fantastic storytelling, and a willingness to help anyone who needed it. Just as he dealt with all life experiences, Jack handled his cancer diagnosis with the utmost courage and strength, while spending as much time as he could with his family. He will be forever loved and missed by all who were blessed to know him. He is survived by his wife and best friend of over 30 years, Holly Wilson, his two sons; Travis (Tracy) and Austin, and his precious grandson, Carter. He also leaves behind his parents, Terry and Oma Maxwell, brothers Ed and David Wilson, mother-in-law, Mary Brown, brother-in-law, Dale "Chip" Brown (Patricia Smith) and dearest friends, Teresa and Brad Stephens. Jack will be deeply missed by his numerous friends and coworkers, especially Bryan Triplett, and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Kyle Wilson. The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Alberico, Robin Taylor and the staff at Virginia Oncology for their kind and compassionate treatment of our sweet, beloved Jack during his most difficult of days. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jack's honor to : Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/give.html https://southeastgermanshepherdrescue.com Virginia.BACAworld.org
