Obituary For Jacqueline Ann Daley

Virginia Beach - Jacqueline A. Daley, 78, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home. She was born in October 1947 in Norfolk, Virginia.

Jacqueline graduated from Old Dominion University and dedicated many years to education, teaching history and government at Lake Taylor High School and later working with the International Baccalaureate program at Granby High School. She was a passionate educator who challenged her students to think critically about the world and their role in it.

Outside the classroom, Jacqueline devoted 15 years to the Virginia Aquarium Stranding Response Team, helping rescue and respond to stranded marine animals along the Virginia coast. In retirement, she discovered a new passion in the sport of flyball with her beloved dog, Vapor, embracing the camaraderie and excitement of the sport.

Jacqueline was known for her sharp intelligence and unmistakable sarcastic wit. Those who knew her appreciated her quick humor, strong opinions, and the thoughtful conversations she inspired.

She is survived by her daughter, Aimee Rockefeller Walker; her son-in-law, Robert Walker; and her granddaughter, Madison Walker.

A memorial service will be held at Shelter Christian Church, 2526 Rodgers St, Chesapeake, VA 23324 at 3pm on Tuesday March 17, 2026.
