Virginia Beach, VA - Jean Ann (Collins) Klein, born March 3, 1937, in Los Angeles, California, peacefully passed away on April 6, 2026, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 89.

Growing up in Newport Beach, CA, Jean enjoyed riding her horses on the beach and she carried her love for horses throughout her life. Later moving to Ash Fork, AZ, Jean spent her time lovingly caring for family and cats, tending to her garden, and taking care of her home. A John Wayne lover and a mean poker player, Jean was the glue that held her family together, through the good and difficult times.

Jean was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Wesley and Helen (Russell) Collins, her sister, Shirley Shook, her beloved children, Victoria Wheaton, Steven Klein, Timothy Klein, and Julie Klein, as well as her granddaughter Norma Wheaton. She cherished the memories of her family, even in her later years. She leaves behind her devoted daughters, Rhonda Gozdecki and Mellony Watts, who both lovingly cared for her in her later years. Jean lived with Mellony, and their close bond was a source of strength and joy for both. In addition to her daughters, Jean is survived by many other family members and friends who were touched by her warmth and generosity. They will all miss her greatly and remember her fondly.
