Jean and I have been friends since High School. I remember her buying a baby blue convertible car. It was a beauty. We thought we were something else riding around in the car. We would go dancing a lot, something we both enjoyed. One Christmas she came to the house and we made rum balls. Dad came into the kitchen to see how we were doing. Told him just fine but he wanted to help. Dad liked to bake cakes and pies.Jean commented on how nice he was. Going to miss you girl.Love you always. Becky

One of my favorite memories of my mom was from our girl trip to Germany in 1997. We were staying in a hotel in the alps of Germany for part of our trip when my then 8 year old daughter, Jenna, couldn't get back into our hotel room. She had gone to get ice and our room door would not reopen upon her return. I tried everything to get the stuck door open and finally I left my mom, Jean, in the hotel room with Jenna stuck out in the hallway and I exited out the back sliding glass doors and hiked across the grounds and leaped over hedges to bring me to the outdoor restaurant seating. I sprinted pass all the curious onlookers and found an hotel employee and got him to come with me to my hotel door where I found the door now open and mom and Jenna smiling at me from inside. Glad to know they were happy while I just made a spectacle of myself as the crazy American running & jumping over hedges.

Hard to believe Jean is gone. My condolences to all the Gardner family. She got me to join her TOPS club where we both made a lot of friends. She and I would go to the Banque twice a week to two step and line dance. Fun times. When she moved to FL we would meet at our favourite restaurant Columbia in St. Augustine. Rest in peace my friend.
