Obituary For Jennifer Rose Kerestman

Norfolk - Jennifer Rose (Durkin) Kerestman, born on March 6, 1967, in Chardon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, in Norfolk, Virginia, at the age of 58.

Jennifer was a dedicated caregiver for the elderly, offering compassion and support to those in need. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her professional life into her personal life, where she found her greatest joy in her role as a devoted mother and grandmother. She dedicated the last four years of her life to staying at home and caring for her cherished grandchildren, a role she embraced with great tenderness and devotion. She loved spending time with her family and friends, always cherishing the moments spent together. Jennifer's passions included reading and listening to music, pursuits that brought her great comfort and enjoyment.

A graduate of Chardon High School in the class of 1986, Jennifer went on to study nursing for some time, channeling her innate caring nature into her career choices.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Michael and Betty (Wood) Durkin, and her daughter, Elizabeth Kerestman. Jennifer leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth through her surviving family, including her husband, James D. Kerestman; daughters, Jessica Sharp, her husband Weston and their children Adeline and Magnolia, Amber Kerestman and her children Alexis, Hannah, Matthew, Jake, Jaylen, and Jayden; sons, Michael Kerestman and Robert Kerestman, his wife Julia, and their children Amelia, Spencer, Hadley, and Iris. She is also survived by her sister, Kim Pridemore, her favorite cousin, Marla Martello, along with many other dear family members and friends who will profoundly feel her absence.

Jennifer's cremated remains will be interred at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Ashtabula, Ohio, at a later date. Simply Cremation is assisting her family during this difficult time. Friends and family are invited to share memories and express condolences online at SimplyCremationOnline.com.

    she treated me like a mother would a son cause she felt bad when i first met her 15 years ago i told her my parents abandoned me at birth now that shes gone that void that was filled for so long is gone and it hurts and i miss her
