Obituary For Jerome Lamont Jones

On November 25th, 2024 at 3:24pm, Jerome Lamont Jones was called home to rest. He was introduced to the world on August 24th, 1965, and was the only son of Beatrice Edwards (deceased). Jerome was affectionately known by his close friends and family as “JJ”, “ Stick” “Unc” or “Playa”. Jerome attended Norview High School where he excelled in basketball, football, and baseball. He later relocated to Toomsboro, Georgia with his sister Angela Deas (deceased) where he worked countless years at Woody’s Lumberyard. To know Stick was to love him. He was known to spread joy and laughter into any room with his brutally honest sense of humor. Jerome was also a dedicated fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia Eagles and loved discussing anything sports related. Remember Jerome for his selfless heart and love for those he cared about most. He is no longer suffering and in pain. We ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers in this difficult time. Jerome leaves behind two aunts (Lucy Hawkins and Maddie Carrol) a sister, Laura Proctor, 4 nieces ( Shaneca Moseley, Teresa Proctor, Shequella Green, Brittany Deas) one nephew (Andre Moseley), 4 great nieces, 3 great nephews, his God daughter, and countless friends in Georgia and Virginia. Condolences may be left for his family at www.SimplyCremationOnline.com

Stick, I definitely miss you so much! I'm going to miss our conversations about life and sports. I could always count on you to make me laugh. It's bittersweet because I know you are no longer suffering. I love you and I'll always carry you with me. Take care of my mom and Bentley while you there. 8/24 always
