Obituary For John Christopher Grimes
Virginia Beach- Chris passed suddenly on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at age 67.
Chris is survived by his mother, Opal Singer; Daughter; Catherine White and Three bonus children; Michelle Tonnesen, Kendrea Van Vorst and Joshua Frost; Three Grandchildren and one on the way.
Chris was a devoted father, grandfather and son. He enjoyed spending his free time “vegging out”, watching cartoons and talking to his children. Chris always ended his weekend with a call to his Mom and Aunt at noon on Sundays.
Chris was a Retired Senior Chief in the Navy. After the Navy, Chris went on to work different Government Contracting Jobs and landed at Newport News Shipbuilding.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date with close family and friends.
