John Drew, as everyone knew him, age 86, passed away on May 12, 2026. John was born on May 16, 1938, in South Norfolk, Va. John is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patricia Nixon Drew, son Michael C. Drew, brother Frank Drew, (Wanda), and sister-in-law, Donna Drew. John is predeceased by his father, Edwin John Drew, Sr., and mother, Francis Parker Drew, sister Betty Drew Hoffman and brother Donald Drew. John was a member of the US Air Force and worked in the office machine industry with Remingtin Rand, Smith-Corona, Copy Data and Ikon Corporation, retiring in 1997 to manage Nixon Plumbing & Heating for several years. John was happiest flying his airplane in his younger years, being with family and his beloved red poodles. Simply Cremation is assisting the family.
