I worked with John for years. Boy what a card. I will share one memory. Jonny was in McGuire hospital for his major heart surgery. McGuire hospital is very near, and I had not seen John in years and made it a point to visit. I was actually scared what I was walking into, Johnny like myself lived life a little hard. I took elevator up to the designated floor into the huge ICU floor. As soon as the door opened, I could hear Johnny across the whole ICU carrying on with a John story, one day after a triple bypass! That in a nutshell was John, no matter what came his way, he took it head on!

A piece of my heart has been crushed. Johnny was my first childhood crush. We were joked on for holding up the fence between our homes for years. His bright eyes and dramatic gestures always made his stories believable. He will be missed. As Childhood memories are always etched in our souls. I am truly sorry for all the Gourley family. Love y'all.

I was fortunate to know Johnnie 49 years. Over the years we talked on the phone and updated what was going on in our lives. I'm thankful he had Becka and Roxanne to lean on and help him get by. John was a kind and gentle soul, he loved his family and friends. I will miss our chats. Norma
