Virginia Beach - John "Jay" Snyder passed away on November 24, 2025, after a long, brave battle with multiple cancers. He was 63. Jay is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, his amazing son Jonathan, his loving daughter-in-law Conner, and his beautiful grandson, Arthur, who was the light and happiness in every day. Jay is also survived by his sister Missy, brothers Steve and Barry, nephews David, Brian, and Nick, nieces Becky and Katie, and great-nieces Layla, Remi, and Rowen. The family wishes to thank the Hospice House and Wings Over Virginia staff for their kindness and compassion. Thanks as well to Jay's former Virginia Beach Public Library co-workers, who remained wonderful and caring friends after retirement.

In lieu of flowers, and to honor Jay's love of animals, please consider a donation in his memory to the Virginia Beach SPCA or the Virginia Aquarium. A private memorial service for family will be held.
