Newport News - John Paolo Reese, born on December 8, 1963, in Monterey, California, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, at the age of 61 in the Veterans Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. A dedicated Navy Veteran and a Master Technician in the automotive field, John was known for his unwavering commitment to his work and his family.

John served proudly in the United States Navy for four years, where he honed skills that would carry him through a successful career as a Master Technician in the automotive industry. His dedication to his craft and his ability to solve complex problems were admired by colleagues and clients alike.

Preceded in death by his beloved mother, Anna (Casagrande) Reese, John is survived by his father, Lawrence Reese, who cherished him deeply. He leaves behind his loving children: 2 sons Jon and Zach Reese, 2 daughters Tanya Coburn (son in law, Jesse Coburn) and Nicole Reese, and 2 grandchildren: granddaughter Edy and grandson Ranger. John will also be fondly remembered by other family members and friends who shared in his journey.

A current resident of Newport News, Virginia, John touched the lives of many with his kindness, humor, and integrity.
