Virginia Beach, VA – Judith (Judy) Diane Hallums, 79, February 7, 1947 to September 11, 2026.
Judy Diane Daniels Hallums of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away after a short battle with Cancer on September 11, 2026 while at home surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren
Judy was born February 7, 1947 in Florence, Alabama to Audrey V. Ingrahm and Benette L. Daniels. She graduated from Sea Breeze High School (Florida) in 1965. From there she joined the US Marine Corps, as she served as a Ground Air Traffic Controller (1965-1968). On June 3, 1967, she married Dorris Stewart (Stew) Hallums.
Judy and her daughter Terri Mooney recently moved from Castle Rock, Colorado where they resided for 48 years to be closer to her daughter Mary Hightower.
She is survived by her daughters Terri Mooney and Mary Hightower, grandchildren James E. Hightower Jr., Jayde Hightower, Cory Mooney, Tanner Mooney and Calli Mooney. Her sisters Tanci Mintz (Husband Bob) and Traci Real (Husband Brian), and nieces Audra York and Samantha Gentz of Anchorage, Alaska.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Stew Hallums. Her mother Audrey V. Ingrahm, step-father Robert J. Ingrahm, father Benette L. Daniels and sister Vicki Davis.
The family would like to take this time to thank all of the friends and medical staff for the kindness during this difficult time.

Uncle Tom, Nancy Lou, and Lisa send their love and comfort as you grieve. We know your Mom was a very special to you both and was very proud of her "girls". Terri -- amazing job taking care of your Mom. It's such a privilege to take care of a loved one and return the favor of when they took care and raised you. Your family in Washington loves you and we hope to see you again soon.

Judy had the softest and sweetest voice. She was nice to me and welcoming. I t saddens me to know she's gone. My prayers go out for Terri and Mary Kay.
