Obituary For Kathleen S. Hollowood

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA

Kathleen S. Hollowood, 68, passed away Friday, August 6, 2011 at her home, after a four year battle with cancer.

Originally from Buffalo, New York, she was the daughter of the late Howard E. and Virginia R. Miller. Kathy was a devoted Navy wife, making apartments home throughout 14 relocations. She was a graduate of the Mercy School of Nursing, Buffalo, NY. She was a member of the DAR Lynnhaven Parish Chapter. Kathy was an accomplished singer and participated in school choirs, church groups where she was stationed and most recently with the Daybreak Singers.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Russell G. Hollowood; sons, Stephen M. Hollowood and fiancée Pamela McPherson of Carrolton, VA, David R. Hollowood and wife Amy of Fairfaix, VA; a daughter, Carolyn M. Saul and husband Miguel of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Sean and Errin Hollowood; a sister, Virginia M. Miller of Elma, NY, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
