Kenny was born in Ossining, New York, and raised in Westchester, New York, the son of George Stinson and Cherrie V. Campbell. He was a proud graduate of Ossining High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts from Ithaca College.

After college, Kenny made a defining choice — to relocate to Philadelphia to be present and active in the life of his son, Aquil, and to co-parent him alongside Carole Campbell. Kenny was an avid coach who championed Aquil, investing himself fully in his education and activities, including football. His reach as a father extended beyond his own children — he took Carole's sons, Ibraheim and Rashad, under his wing as well, coaching and mentoring them with the same steady commitment.

He raised his daughter Erica in Portsmouth, Virginia, where he moved to be closer to his mother, Cherrie. He embraced Erica's sister Alea as his own, helping raise her alongside Erica with the same warmth and steadiness he brought to everything. He found great enjoyment coaching Erica's softball teams, delivering the same devotion he had always brought to the football sidelines.

Over the course of his professional life, Kenny built a career in advertising sales, later going into business with his son Aquil in logistics. In his later years, Kenny settled into what may have been his most natural role of all: substitute teacher in Portsmouth, Virginia, where students and staff knew him simply as Mr. S. He brought to every classroom the same energy he once brought to the sidelines — patient, engaged, and genuinely invested in the young people in front of him.

He is survived by his son Aquil (Kaili); his daughter Erica Stone; his brother Victor (Marie); and his granddaughter Juno — daughter of Aquil and Kaili — who called him "K Pop", a name only she could have given him and one that fit perfectly.

Kenny leaves behind not just a family, but a team — built over decades through presence, patience, and unconditional love.
