Obituary For Kevin Lee Barkley

Kevin Lee Barkley, 62 born on February 28, 1963, in Glendale, California, passed away on April 23, 2025 at Norfolk General. A resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Kevin was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was cherished by those fortunate enough to know him personally. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Kevin dedicated his professional life to serving as an HVAC Service Technician, where he applied his skills and expertise with unwavering commitment. A man of integrity, character and diligence, he was respected by his colleagues and his customers alike.

In his spare time Kevin loved to tinker, playing on his computer, listening to music especially from the '90's and drawing up ideas and designs for his woodworking projects. He was very artistic and creative and took great pride in everything he made. His true passion was woodworking.

He is survived by his loving wife Sherry Barkley, his daughter Megan Faust, his step-daughter Stephanie Harris, his step-sons Alexander Vogel and Nicholas Vogel, and his granddaughter Annie Faust. He was “pawpaw” to Adeline Dugger, Tobias Vogel, Leia Harris and Rowan Vogel, his sisters Kim Huerbsch and Kristy Stewart and many cousins and Nieces and Nephews.

Kevin's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind. He was loved and will be missed by many.

In accordance with Kevin's wishes, no services are planned at this time. Simply Cremation is assisting Kevin's family during this period. Friends and loved ones are invited to share memories and offer their condolences at SimplyCremationOnline.com.

    The words don't come easy because there was a time in my life - you were my everything and although we parted many years ago, I still remember all the good times like they were yesterday. Thank you for being my best friend in the years you shared with me, thank you for blessing me with our beautiful daughter, your legacy lives on in the amazing person she is.
