Obituary For LeRoy Ronald Segerstrom

LeRoy Ronald Segerstrom October 31, 1935 - April 30, 2020 (Born in Mondovi, WI) (Resided in Chesapeake, VA)

LeRoy Ronald Segerstrom went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 30, 2020.

LeRoy was born in Mondovi, WI. He graduated from Mondovi High School in 1953 and the University of Wisconsin, River Falls in 1958. He was drafted into the Army from 1958-1960 serving in Berlin, Germany. His career path of financial management allowed him to frequently travel and move with his family to various locations around the country. He retired as Vice President of Leach Credit Corporation in Osh Kosh, WI in 2003. LeRoy was able to enjoy his retirement years in North Carolina and most recently in Chesapeake, VA.

Immediate and extended family were always very important to him. He had a servant’s heart and was always ready to lend a helping hand in his church, community, and neighborhood.

LeRoy enjoyed staying physically fit and being outdoors through playing football, tennis, golf, biking, and boating. He loved his country and was constantly aware of all things political. His problem solving skills were amazing to behold as he devised solutions with his engineering mind and construction skills.

He is predeceased by his parents; Rangnar and Margaret, siblings; Ralph, Lorraine, Joyce, Duane, and Arlen. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Karen, daughters; Terri and Lynn, son-in-laws; Lee and Roger, five grandchildren; Jonathan, Andrew, Melissa, Kevin, Joshua, and great-grandchild, Liam.

II Corinthians 5:8 - “Yes we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord.”

LeRoy will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all his family and friends. A memorial service is yet to be determined.
