Lewis E. Fraughnaugh, Jr., born on March 16, 1945, in Virginia, passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on December 17, 2025, in Newport News, VA.

Lewis dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving his country as an Air Force veteran before embarking on a long and distinguished career at the Newport News Shipyard. His commitment and contributions will be remembered fondly by his colleagues and peers.

Lewis was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Lewis and Elma Fraughnaugh. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his children, extended family, and friends who were dear to him.

Memorial services to honor and celebrate the life of Lewis E. Fraughnaugh, Jr. will be held at a later date. The family appreciates all the support and condolences received during this difficult time.
