Obituary For Lola Belle Clarke

Newport News, VA- Lola Belle (Cook) Clarke age 68 of Newport News, VA, born in Moorefield, WV on September 11, 1956 to the late Lee and Pauline Cook, passed away December 20, 2024 with her family by her side.

Preceding her in death were her father, Lee Cook; mother, Pauline Cook; 2 brothers, Wilbur & James Cook; 1 sister, Elva Gahgan; and Lola’s late husband, Marshall Clarke.

Survivors include her daughter, Marsha Blank of Newport News, VA; granddaughter, Cheyenne & husband Jorge Rodriguez; great granddaughter, Xaveilia Rodriguez; grandson, Willie Blank and his wife Lili; great granddaughters, Acora and Analia Blank of Fort Carson, CO; 2 brothers, William Cook and his wife Mary of Moorefield. WV, Charles Cook and his wife Estelle of Stewstown, PA; 8 sisters, Mary Mitchell of Exxic, MD, Sylvia Cook of Martinsburg, WV, Shirley Waddell of Moorefield, WV, Rosie Bell of Kings Mt, NC, Ada Cook of Martinsburg, WV, Carla Green of Moorefield, WV, Marla Qurey and husband David of Jacksonville, FL, Estie and husband Pat Andrews of Belington, WV; several nieces and nephews; and her 2 dogs Cooper & Penny.

She was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, loved working in her yard with her flowers, she was the “Queen” of yard sales and thrift stores. Lola was loved by everyone she came in contact with and will be truly missed by ALL.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

    I did not know Aunt Lola but, my grandmother talks often of her and how much she loved her. She use to take Lola as a baby to school with her and care for her till she was alittle over 1 years old. I trust she is in Glory now. On behalf of her sister Mary, she will be missed dearly.
