Virginia Beach, VA - Loretta Margaret McCombs, born on March 22, 1951, in Berlin, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 75.

Loretta spent many years as a dedicated bus driver assistant with the Virginia Beach Public Schools, where she touched the lives of countless students and colleagues with her warmth and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Margaret Gerhardt and Emerson Hoffman. Loretta is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, Daniel James McCombs, who cherished their time together and supported her throughout their marriage.

Private services in her honor will be held at a later date. Simply Cremation is handling the arrangements.

Loretta's gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to her family and community will be remembered by all who knew her.
