Lorraine Cosby, 61, of Franklin, VA was born on May 19, 1964, in New York, New York, and peacefully passed on January 12, 2026. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was a blessing to all who knew her.

Lorraine was the heart of her family. She cherished time spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride. Her love was deep, her presence comforting, and her laughter unforgettable.

A woman of strong faith, Lorraine loved the Lord and lived her life reflecting that love. She shared warmth, kindness, and compassion freely, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Her gentle spirit and giving heart will forever be remembered.

Lorraine leaves behind a loving family who will continue to cherish her memories: her devoted mother, Kay Burgess; her sister, Neicey; and her brothers, Andre, Keith, and Kevin. She was a proud and loving mother to her sons, Terrance, Kelvin, and Diandre, and a cherished mother-in-law to Allysa and Fredlena. She was a devoted grandmother to Adonijah, Adiella, Azarel, Jonas, Kane Kingston, Amore, and Diandre Jr., each of whom held a special place in her heart.

A celebration of life honoring Lorraine will be announced by the family and held at a later date.

Though she is no longer with us in body, Lorraine’s love, faith, and legacy will live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
