Louis Joseph Fontaine Sr., a devoted husband, father, and esteemed maintenance manager, passed away on August 12, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 68. Born on July 23, 1957, in Central Falls, Rhode Island, he was the cherished son of the late Alice Mary Fontaine and George Roderick Fontaine.

Throughout his career, Mr. Fontaine dedicated himself to his work as a maintenance manager with self-employed skilled craftsman and was a plasterer by trade, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and associates alike through his commitment and professionalism.

He proudly served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diana Lynn Fontaine, and his beloved sons: Louis Joseph Fontaine Jr., Landon J. Fontaine, Lucas J. Fontaine, and Lanson J. Fontaine. He also leaves behind his daughter-in-law, Holly S. Fontaine, and four cherished grandchildren: Aspyn Fontaine, Corbin Fontaine, Ashlyn Fontaine, and Roman Fontaine. Mr. Fontaine was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

His hobbies included fishing and riding horses, passions that brought him great joy throughout his life.

His presence will be profoundly missed by his family and those who had the privilege of knowing him.

There are currently no scheduled services in remembrance of Mr. Fontaine. The family appreciates the support and prayers of friends and relatives during this difficult time.
