There will never be another like him. It's hard to believe such a vibrant light is gone. I was fortunate to have basked in the light, briefly. Memories of the 24 hour race, of his first marathon, and of countless mornings walking through the state park and along the oceanfront come to mind, and stay to mind. I will miss my friend.

My deepest condolences to the family. My friend T(Tony) was ridiculously happy in life, so I will celebrate the amazing impact he did in my life. Watching the sun rise, when we gather for our run /walk was such a relaxing and beautiful way to start the day. When anyone was around T(Tony) , you felt at peace, calm, and ease. A true friend is not someone we chose for ourselves it' is someone GOD place in our lives for a purpose. Rest in Peace T(Tony) you will missed. Lillie(Like a Flower) 🌺

Tony walked with a gentle spirit. Whenever he came upon a child in distress, he never scolded them or demanded to know what was wrong. Instead, he simply did what he did best—as I lovingly called him, he was the "Child Whisperer." If a child needed someone to sit beside them, he sat. If a child needed to scream, he listened. If a child needed someone to talk to, he talked. If a child needed a hug, he gave one without hesitation. Tony never believed a child was bad. He believed children sometimes made bad choices, but those choices were simply a way of showing they needed something—or someone. Tony was that someone. In the short two years I was blessed to know him before retiring, he taught me countless lessons that I will carry with me always. He will forever be the Child Whisperer in my heart. The greatest way we can honor his memory is by continuing the example he set—with the same gentle voice, compassionate heart, and unwavering belief in children. May parents, educators, and every child whose life he touched carry those lessons forward. My prayers and love go out to his family. Please know that although Tony is no longer here in person, his legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched. His kindness, patience, and love will continue to make a difference for generations to come. Denise Ficco
