Yorktown - Marcy Starr McKoy

Marcy Starr McKoy passed away peacefully at home on May 13, 2026.

Marcy was a beautiful soul who brought love, laughter, and light to everyone who knew her. She had a special way of making people feel seen, loved, and encouraged. Her nieces and nephews meant the world to her, and she loved being part of their lives, cheering on their dreams, celebrating their accomplishments, and making memories with them whenever she could.

She was a loving and supportive daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence could never be replaced. Marcy was fiercely stubborn and unapologetically honest; traits that ran strong in the McKoy family and that those who loved her will forever smile about.

Marcy loved going to the movies, reading, traveling, spending time at the beach, and spending her summers in the pool, where she could usually be found every single day. More than anything, though, she loved being with her family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Michael T. McKoy.

She is survived by her mother, Marlene McKoy; her sisters, Melissa Olivis, Megan McKoy, and Mandy Shipley; her brothers, Matthias McKoy and Micah McKoy; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Marissa McKoy-Olivis, Miguel McKoy-Olivis, Meya Holmes, Mesinna McKoy, Milaina Haubert, Liam Shipley, and Theo Shipley.

In honoring Marcy’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Marcy wanted everyone to know that she will always be with them, no matter where they are.

Her love, laughter, and spirit will be deeply missed and forever carried in the hearts of those who loved her.
