Obituary For Marie Jeannette Soquet

Marie Jeanette Soquet, born on July 10, 1943, in Manhattan, New York, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 82.

Marie dedicated her life to her work as a hairdresser, where she was known for her skill and passion. Her warm personality and ability to engage with her clients made her a beloved figure in the community.

Beyond her professional life, Marie cherished spending time with her family, which brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Her family was always at the center of her heart, and she created countless cherished memories with them over the years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Lee Soquet, and her parents, Mary and Arthur Cote. She is survived by her loving daughter, Susan Soquet, who will continue to honor and celebrate her mother's legacy.

A service to honor Marie’s life will be held at a later date. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and will forever be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and love for her family.

Simply Cremation is assisting Marie’s family with the arrangements.
