Obituary For Marinabernadett E. Long
In Loving Memory of Marinabernadett E. Long
With heavy hearts and loving memories, we announce the passing of Marinabernadett E. Long, affectionately known as “Nina,” who passed away on October 19, 2026, at the age of 53.
Born on August 15, 1973, in El Paso, Texas, Nina was truly one of a kind. She was outspoken, fiercely independent, free-spirited, and loving. She marched to the beat of her own drum and never felt the need to be anyone other than herself. Nina spoke her mind, stood her ground, and lived life on her own terms.
One of her favorite sayings was, “I can do bad all by myself.” Those who knew Nina knew that these weren’t just words; they reflected her independent spirit and determination to make her own way in life.
But behind her strong personality was a woman with a caring heart. Nina had a desire to help others and
believed in showing love to those around her. She wasn’t perfect, nor did she pretend to be, but she was
genuine. She loved in her own way, lived by her own rules, and left an impression on everyone who crossed her path.
Nina was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Marina; her sister-in-law, Lorri; her brother-in-law,
Nobby; and her nephew, Jason.
She leaves behind her loving daughters, Krystal (Jeremy) and Rili (Dylan), and her cherished
grandchildren: Olivia, Lucas, Mackenzie, Zoey, and Emery.
Nina is also survived by her siblings, MaryAlice (Allan), James, and Joseph (Johanna).
She also leaves behind her special friend Allen.
She will also be remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews.
Nina’s life was a reminder that we are all beautifully different. She didn’t follow the crowd, she didn’t
sugarcoat her feelings, and she certainly wasn’t afraid to be herself. Her stubbornness, her honesty, her
laughter, and her love were all part of what made her unforgettable.
Although her journey on earth has come to an end, the memories she created will live on through the family and friends who loved her. Her voice may be silent, but her words, her spirit, and the stories that will be told about her will continue for generations.
Rest peacefully, Nina. Keep marching to the beat of your own drum. You will forever be loved, deeply
missed, never forgotten...
And be remembered as the "Forever Free Texan"!
