My sympathy to the Werling Family. I worked some investigations with F.Sgt. Werling at Indiana State Police. He was an asset to the I.S.P.and the State Of Indiana. He also was a nice guy! David J.Crose,I.S.P. First.Sgt.(Retired)

Marty: I see that our personal lives and our professional careers closely blended in Indiana and subsequently in Virginia. Your days at ISP Connersville and mine at ISP Redkey were, I think the best of the ISP era of law enforcement. Our PE numbers and even Wayne County were influences on us both. Now I see apparently, we both chose to make Virginia our retirement homes. We shared some good experiences. Peace to your family. Arthur J. Sanders PE828 (R)

I worked with F/Sgt Werling at the Connersville Post #41. I have thought of him many times over the years since my retirement 17 years ago. Fond memories of my early days as a young Trooper under his command. I was very sorry to learn of his passing. Lt. Rex Ferrell PE 2163 (ret.)
