Mary Ann (Ingria) Shahan, born on January 28, 1944, in Long Island, NY, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones on May 4, 2025, in Virginia Beach, VA, at the age of 81.

Mary dedicated her career to serving as a Human Resources Representative for the Navy Exchange Service Command, where she was respected for her commitment and professionalism. Her work supported countless individuals, and she took great pride in her contributions to the organization.

Mary leaves behind her cherished daughters, Dawn (Rafy) Shahan, April (Mark) Horowitz, and her beloved grandchildren Sam and Nadia Horowitz. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph and Ann (Olivia) Ingria. Mary has two surviving brothers Joe Jr and Robert Ingria.

Mary loved to garden and take day trips exploring new places. Her life was marked by her devotion to her family. She was the epitome of a feisty Italian Mama. Mary loved to cook and gather family and friends, celebrating specials occasions. She was famous for her lasagna, meatballs and her garlic balls (IYKYK).

Mary will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
