Mary Elizabeth Smoot, born on August 31, 1943, in Culpeper, Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 82.

Throughout her life, Mary was known for her strength and resilience. After enjoying a fulfilling career, she entered retirement with grace, cherishing the time she spent with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Resie Jenkins. Mary leaves behind her cherished grandson, Allen Kennedy, who will hold her memory dear.

Services to honor and celebrate Mary's life will be held at a later date. Simply Cremation is assisting the family during this difficult time.
