Chesapeake

Mary Rose Martin Cahoon, 94, died June 13, 2014.

Born November 15, 1919, she was raised on a farm in Milwaukee, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Martin and Essie Mae Britt Martin and was one of 15 children. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Lloyd S. Cahoon; three brothers and three sisters. Mary was a faithful servant of Jehovah God since she dedicated her life to Him in 1959. Left to cherish her memory are three sons, Jack and wife Linda, Larry and wife Carole, both of Chesapeake and Chris and wife Stephanie "Missy" of South Mills, N.C.; two brothers, four sisters, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2820 Gallberry Road, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends following the service.

The family would like to offer sincere gratitude to all the staff at Carrington Place for their loving care.

I am so very sorry to all of you for the loss of a dear, faithful sister. May Jehovah give you the "power beyond what is normal" (2 Cor 4:7) in order to endure, until you are reunited with your Mary again. Your sister, Angela

Dear Martin/Cahoon family, I am sorry to hear of your loss. Being dedicated to Jehovah, Mary Rose had the hope of the resurrection at Rev. 21:3&4. May this knowledge and God’s unfailing love and peace surround each of you during this difficult time now and in the days to come.
