Nags Head, NC — Melissa Ann Mitzner, born on July 21, 1969, in Germany, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, in Virginia Beach, VA, at the age of 56.

She was a formerly dedicated child care provider whose nurturing spirit touched many young lives.

Melissa made her home in Nags Head, NC, where she found joy, comfort, and a sense of community. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Mitzner. She is survived by her loving mother, Audrey Mitzner (Warf); her children, Rocco Calvino and Sara Jorge; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

In keeping with her family’s wishes, no services are planned at this time. Melissa will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she so freely gave to those around her.
