Virginia Beach, VA - Melissa Erin (Xanthakis) Meyer, born on September 19, 1980, in Anaheim, California, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 45.
Melissa dedicated many years of her professional life working as a Medical Records Clerk at Neurosurgical Specialists Inc. Her commitment to her work was greatly appreciated by colleagues and those she served.
Melissa pursued higher education and earned an Associate's Degree, showcasing her dedication to lifelong learning and personal development.
Melissa was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers. She had lots of team apparel and memorabilia to prove it.
She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Deborah (Sorensen) Xanthakis. Melissa is survived by her loving father, Steven F. Xanthakis, her cherished sister, Alison, brother, Richard, step-mother Barbara, her loving partner, Ryan Wilde, and numerous friends and family members who will remember her with fondness and love.

Melissa was a beautiful soul and she welcomed me when I was a new employee at NSI with open arms. She was a great friend. When I found out I was pregnant she spoiled my baby and was so excited for me. I will never forget her and how caring and loving she always was. I will miss you friend. I'm glad you no longer have to fight this fight though <333

To the family of Melissa. I worked with Melissa at Neurosurgical Specialist. She sat around the corner from me. She always had encouraging words for me when I was down. She always prayed for my mom and I always prayed for her. I will miss you Melissa. I know that you are in no more pain. Rest in Heaven with The Lord Jesus Christ. Your struggle is over. Love you forever.
