Born in San Diego, California, on November 18, 1949, Michael was a cherished son of Eulos and Dorothy Ryker. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and service, cherished by his family and numerous friends who will miss him greatly.

Michael's journey through life was marked by a deep commitment to his faith and the people around him. He graduated from the Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music with an associate degree in theology, which laid the foundation for his early career as a minister. His love for the Lord was a guiding force in his life, and his unwavering faith touched many lives throughout the years.

In pursuit of new opportunities, Michael and his family relocated back to San Diego, where he took on the role of a transit bus driver. The early 1980s brought a new chapter as the family moved to Montana and embarked on an entrepreneurial adventure by establishing the first BBQ restaurant in the Bitterroot Valley, Wild West BBQ. This venture was a testament to Michael's entrepreneurial spirit and his dedication to bringing people together through good food and warm hospitality.

Michael's compassion extended beyond the restaurant business. His family converted their home into a retirement home, Valley Guest Home, for the elderly, providing a nurturing environment for those in need within the community. He then became a Sales Rep for Southwestern Petroleum Company based out of Fort Worth, for the state of Montana. Life then took him to work for Lucent Technologies covering the Midwest. Michael brought his expertise and passion to Kansas City, where he founded Mike's City Metals in 2002. His dedication to hard work was evident in every endeavor he pursued.

Outside of his professional achievements, Michael found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved sharing his faith and spending quality time with family and friends. On sunny days, he could be found riding his Harley, participating in Patriot Guard events, and reminiscing about his younger years spent surfing the waves of his birthplace.

Michael's life was rich in experiences and relationships, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him. As we celebrate the remarkable journey of Michael Ryker, we are reminded of his enduring love for the Lord, his unwavering dedication to his family, and his generous spirit that left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.
