Mike lived on Hanscom Road along with Tom Morse, Carl Randolph and I. We had some fun times growing up. Mike and I would hitch hike to Portsmouth to Pine Grove Pavilion. We could usually find Mal London or Jim Parmley in Portsmouth to give us a ride home. Thanks for the memories Mike. My condolences to all his family. Warren deWildt

My deepest condolences to Mike's family. I remember Mike as a very quiet guy in high school. Being from South Berwick, we didn't meet until high school. Rest in piece Mike. John Webster

My heart goes out to the entire Seeley family; my first memory of Mike is as a second grade student in a basement classroom of the old Eliot Elementary School. The next thing I remember is seeing him in my third grade classroom, just a couple of rooms up the hallway! I never knew for sure, but I believe the move was because he had shown sufficient mastery of the second grade curriculum to be moved up to third grade before his peers. I remember him as a very quiet, introspective younster who was also very inquisitive about the world around him, particularly the way "things" worked. As a young boy, I was shown how to build a home-made rabbit trap by a family friend. When I showed Mike one I had built, he was absolutely fascinated with how simple the design was, particulary the mechanism used to drop the door when a rabbit entered and moved the carrot or apple slice inside. I'll never forget that WIDE grin on his face when I showed him how the trap worked. He was so fascinsted with the idea of building, setting, and checking a trap on a daily basis that he often came to my home just up the road from the Seeley home on Hanscom Road to walk through the woods with me and check my traps! The day he saw a live rabbit in one of my traps he couldn't believe his eyes! I think the day he enjoyed most, however, was the day I asked him to come and help me build a new trap. I'll never forget how animated he was throughout the building process, helping me make sure all of the measurements were correct and that the finished product worked properly; he tripped the door mechanism several times to make sure it would capture the next rabbit that wanted a piece of the bait inside! We built a couple of very successful traps together, Mike... Rest in peace, my friend. Tom
