Obituary For Michael Rae Stripling

MICHAEL (MIKE) RAE STRIPLING (72)

Mike was the youngest child born to Mary Eileen and James L. Stripling, Jr. Mike was always a fun loving and happy person. He loved to chat, laugh, joke and give his wise cracks. He loved being outdoors, loved fishing and tractors. But most of all he loved his family! And they will all miss “Pawpaw” greatly. Mike’s life walk was a testimony of God’s goodness, grace and mercy. His favorite saying was, “ God’s got this”. Was he perfect? No, just a good ole boy. But knew the perfect Savior, Jesus. Those left behind to miss him are his wife of 48 years, Ruth Sparks Stripling, his daughters Michele (Ronnie) Wyatt, Melissa (Jon) Roman, and Megan (Eric) Brandt. His grandchildren include Mandi (Brian) Harvey, Abigail Kelly, Victoria Wyatt, Julianne (James) Wooton, Liggat Michael and Alexander Timothy. His great grandchildren are Ethan, Finley and Blaze. Also missing him are his siblings, Peggy (Arthur) Baggett and James Alan Stripling and nephews, nieces, cousins and many many friends. Mike is now not only in the presence of Jehovah but feasting on the wonders of heaven. In celebration of this, a service will be held at Southside Baptist Church, 917 Carolina Rd., Suffolk, VA on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023 at 11:00 am. Rev. TA Powell will be officiating. After the service, friends and family are invited for fellowship at the family home.

Simply Cremation is assisting his family. Online condolences may be expressed at SimplyCremationOnline.com.
