Newport News, VA – Michael Ray Nicholson, born on November 27, 1957, in Newport News, VA, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, at the age of 68.

Mike retired after a career in logistics. He was great with computers and was the person people called when something needed fixing. He was known for his stubborn streak, quick wit, and sense of humor. He loved his family, was always willing to help, and had a way of making people laugh.

He shared 42 years of marriage with his wife, Vickie. Together they raised two daughters, Casey and Lindsey, and he was a proud grandpa to Abigail, Alaina, and Corbin.

He will be missed more than he would probably admit.
