Chesapeake - Michael Thomas Sparrow, aged 75, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, in Norfolk, Virginia, the city where he was born on December 18, 1949. A lifelong Virginian, Michael was a resident of Chesapeake, Virginia, where he cultivated a life rooted in dedication and service.

Michael honorably served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. Following his military service, he continued to contribute to the community as a civilian facilities manager at the Navy Base, where he applied his skills and commitment over many years.

Michael was preceded in death by his loving parents, Sylvester and Margaret (Young) Sparrow. He is survived by his devoted son, Mike Sparrow, daughter-in-law, Kendal Sparrow, their four children Michael, Colin, Ethan and Kaley. He is also survived by his brother Buddy Sparrow and his wife Judy, along with many other cherished family members and friends who will hold his memory dear.
