I was truly saddened to read in today's Virginian Pilot of the passing of Palmer Lee. While working in Athletics for Portsmouth Parks & Recreation and umpiring many of his softball games, I got to know him well. Palmer Lee was one of the good guys who truly loved managing and playing softball. Prayers and condolences are sent to his wife and family during this difficult time. Mrs. Satterfield was always nearby when the games were played and assisted Palmer in any way possible.
