Virginia Beach, VA - Pamela Jean Grauer (née Griggs) passed away on July 2, 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on December 8, 1944, in Richmond, VA, to Joyce and Edward Griggs. Pam was predeceased by her husband Alan, her parents, stepson David and her beloved Nanny.

She is survived by her children Cindie, Jeff (Dawn), Tim (Kerri); grandchildren Bryan, Tyler, Matthew, Ben, Danny, Grayson & Sam. Her great-grandchildren Mandi, Lincoln, Leo, Bruno, Novella, and Aria. Pam also leaves behind siblings Tommy, Lewis Gray, Ed, Larry and Ellen, along with many nieces and nephews.

Pam was cherished for her amazing laugh and her fierce love and protectiveness for her children. She was the ultimate caretaker, always giving with her whole heart to anyone in need. Pamela attended JMU then married her 1st husband Richard Booker, raised 3 beautiful children & worked for many years as a loan officer for Bank of America. A longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Norfolk, she loved singing in the choir, with Christmas Celebrations being some of her favorite memories. After retiring she spent her time with her family, watching her grandchildren and taking numerous vacations to Lake Gaston.

Pamela’s celebration of life will be privately held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choosing.
