Patricia Ann Denton: A Life Cherished

Virginia Beach - Patricia Ann (Paschal) Denton left us peacefully on July 27, 2025, at the age of 71. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Patricia was born to James and Lenedia Paschal on October 10, 1953, in LaGrange, Georgia, and was a cherished resident of Virginia Beach at the time of her passing.

Patricia loved life and approached it with enthusiasm, particularly through her profound interest in family ancestry and U.S. history. She found joy in uncovering the stories of the past, both those of her own lineage and the broader narratives that shaped our nation. This passion enriched her life and the lives of those around her, as she often shared her discoveries and insights.

She is survived by her devoted husband, David Denton, and her loving children, Jason Dodson and Rebecca Dodson, and her three cherished grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Randy Paschal, and sister, Michelle Paschal, along with a wide circle of family and friends who will deeply miss her kindness and spirit.

The family will hold private services. Friends and loved ones are invited to share memories and offer condolences online at SimplyCremationOnline.com. Patricia will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

It was such an honor to be Facebook friends with Patty! Sharing the CW era was the favorite. She enjoyed that we were re-enactors and liked to hear about a few of the events attended. We shared pics of antiques and the different styles we liked as well. Prayers for David and the family for strength and peace. Blessed be.
