Hampton, VA - Peggy Ann Irvin, born on April 4, 1952, in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, in Hampton, Virginia. She was 74 years old.

Throughout her life, Peggy dedicated herself to her work as a bus driver with the York County School Division for 16 years. She drove in Grafton zone for several years then switched to driving a special needs bus where she shared her heart and love for the students. After her retirement from driving, she returned as an assistant on the special needs buses for several years.

Her professional life was marked by her dedication and reliability, making a positive impact on those she encountered daily. Peg was a loving and caring lady, willing to help others. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and following NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard C. Irvin and her son, Richard “Byrd” Irvin and brother, Amos J Glass. She is survived by her sister-in-law Nadine Glass and her niece and nephew, Maggie and Amos, and her sister-in-law Helen Irvin and nieces Amber, Kayla, Diane and Jennifer, Uncle Chuck Jones and wife Marilyn who cherished their bond and shared many fond memories with her.

Arrangements for Peggy Ann Irvin will be handled by Simply Cremation. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date at the families convenience.
