Obituary For Penelope Ann Dement
Penelope Ann Dement, age 83, of Utica, New York passed away on July 13th, 2026.
Penelope was born on December 8th, 1942 in Utica, New York to Helen and Kenneth Stockton.
Penelope will be remembered for her artwork and the love of her family.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters Kenneth, David, Mary Lou, Cynthia, Jim, Lori, Kathy and her children Daryl, Rhonda, Lester, Michael and grandchildren Bradly, Joey, Matthew, Tommy, Shawn, and Timothy.
Penelope was preceded in death by her son Joey, her sisters Karen, Lana, and June, and her brother Scott.
A celebration of life service will be held in New York at a future date.

I would like too share this poem my aunt Cynthia wrote: MY TOO LATE POEM OF ALL THE PEOPLE I WROTE POEMS FOR, SHE IS THE ONE I ADORE. MY TOO LATE POEM COMES FROM MY HEART,HER EARS CAN'T HEAR THIS SPECIAL PART. MOTHERS DAY CAME AND WENT AWAY, NO MOTHER TO FILL THAT SPECIAL DAY. NO MOTHER BUT ME THAT I CAN SEE. SHE'S IN MY HANDS WHEN I TOUCH, THAT LITTLE PERSON SHE LOVED SO MUCH. YES, MOTHERS DAY HASWENT AWAY, BUT MY MOTHER'S STILL HER TILL THIS VERY DAY. SHE WASN'T JUST MY MOTHER, SHE WAS MY BEST FRIEND. In life, Penny had been blessed coming from such a large family. She had a jest for life! Playing cards with her many sisters. She played darts , and collected antiques with her sisters. She adored her brother's as well, at the many times they had family reunions.

My mother has found piece free from pain and at rest brings a very heavy, yet necessary kind of comfort .I loved my mother and it makes saying goodbye one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. She left are family early this morning to be with her mother Helen Father Kenneth my oldest brother Joey and my baby girl Anastasia
