Peter Randall Danforth, 60, of Gloucester Point passed away October 30, 2023. Pete had both of his hands clasped by family members during his fight with cancer and was surrounded with their and many others’ love.

Peter was born November 14, 1962 at Redstone Arsenal Army Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama. He graduated from Gloucester High School and continued residing in Gloucester County his whole life.

Peter loved fixing and making things with his hands. He spent many years as a master auto mechanic before devoting himself to others and being an EMT/Firefighter. Pete was part of the "Wheels of Soul" and loved his Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He left a plethora of friends who now have a hole in their hearts over his loss.

His mother Diane Jean Danforth; and his brother Patrick Neil Danforth preceded him in death. He is survived by his father Harry Porter Danforth, Jr. of Okatie, SC; his 4 children, Stephen Danforth (Michelle) of Gloucester, Benjamin "Tyler" Danforth, of Gloucester, Zachary Danforth of Gloucester, Justin Danforth (Hayley) of Florida; and 5 grandchildren. He also leaves behind brothers Paul Danforth (Heather) of Florida and Philip Danforth (JennaLee) of Florida; and sisters Pamela Rigsby (Stephen) of Fredericksburg and Patricia Danforth (Nick) of Norfolk; step sister Monica Spaulding in Yorktown; and step brother Aaron Spaulding in Lexington, SC. The family will be holding a private memorial at a later date.
