Obituary For Philip Anthony Reynolds II

Philip Anthony Reynolds II, affectionately known as “Steeeve,” passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 60. He was born in Lakewood, Ohio on February 7, 1965.

PhilSteeeve was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and a steady presence to everyone lucky enough to know him. He was the beloved husband of Lisa Reynolds, with whom he shared nearly 30 years of marriage. He is survived by his daughter Erica Townsend, son-in-law Tim Townsend, daughter-in-law Brooke Reynolds, and his cherished grandson Teller Townsend, who called him "Ooga" and brought him endless joy with their shared passion for Hot Wheels.

Phil was preceded in death by his father, Philip Reynolds, his son and best friend, Zachary Reynolds, and brother-in-law Charlie Tench. Left behind to think of him often and smile are his Mom Barbara Reynolds, brothers Jim Reynolds (Kim) and Mike Reynolds (Trish), parents-in-law Larry & Louise Smith, sister-in-law Teri Tench (Charlie), brother-in-law Larry Smith, Jr. (Amy), many nieces, nephews, friends, and "adopted" sons John Arnette and Ike Johnson. Also left behind to miss him are his BELOVED Cockapoos, Burt Reynolds and Debbie Reynolds.

Phil was a demo guy, a licensed Asbestos and Lead Supervisor. Basically, he got to tear buildings apart! He spent the best years of his career as the Operations Manager for Abatement Technical Services (owners Dave Hinchee & Jimbo Early) and was a key player in helping to make the company successful. He worked hard, was loyal and trustworthy, and stressed the importance of those qualities to his kids and the employees he mentored.

For two decades, Phil lived with chronic back pain and endured multiple surgeries, facing each challenge with strength, perseverance, and his signature sense of humor. Though the pain was a constant battle, it never defined him. Today, he is finally free from pain, at peace, and reunited in Heaven with Zak, a comfort to those who loved him deeply.

A man of true passions and an even bigger heart, Phil loved classic cars (especially Pontiacs) and could often be found with his head under a hood, scarred like a manatee from all the dings he took. He found joy and peace at the beach, his favorite place on earth, and loved the sound of classic rock and roll playing in the background. Known for his great sense of humor, Phil had a gift for making people laugh and feel at home. He was an amazing dad and a proud “neighborhood dad,” always watching out for others and ready to help.

Phil HATED winter, so there will be no formal service. On Saturday, July 25, 2026, when it's "Africa hot" outside, friends and family are invited to celebrate his life with a party on the beach at 77th Street, where stories, laughter, music, and love will honor a life well lived. Rain date will be Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Phil is with his Savior, Jesus Christ, for eternity! Do you know Him? Phil wants you to know Him, to love Him, and to join him in Heaven one day. John 3:16

Phil always loved to fill the water balloons during the Annual Birthday Party for the grandkids at the river, which normally fell close to Zak's birthday . We love viewing the videos of those parties as well as the Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations in the barn. Family fun was so important and we look forward to the Family Reunion in Glory with Charlie 💜, Zak💜, and Phil💜. See you soon. Love, Pops and Honey

Hi Lisa and family. I wanted to share that I have nothing but the best memories of Phil. He was always a part of our family when I was young because he and Brian were such good friends. He walked along side me when my mom was buried. A funny and kind man. So sorry for your loss. Katrina (Welty) Ward.
