In Loving Memory of Ramona “Mona” Church

November 19, 1966 – September 30, 2026

Forever Loved, Forever Remembered, Forever in Our Hearts

Virginia Beach, VA - With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Ramona Church, lovingly known to family and friends as Mona, who departed this life on September 30, 2026, at the age of 59.

Born on November 19, 1966, in Steubenville, Ohio, Mona spent her early years in her hometown before making Virginia Beach, Virginia, the place where she spent most of her adult life. Throughout her journey, she created lasting memories, built meaningful connections, and touched the lives of those fortunate enough to know and love her.

Mona was a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, and a cherished member of her family. Her love for her children and grandchildren was immeasurable, and she took great pride in being an involved, dedicated, and present mother and grandmother. Her family was her heart, and the love she poured into them will forever remain a part of her legacy.

Mona embraced life with a curious spirit and a love for new experiences. She enjoyed traveling the world, reading, trying new things, gardening, and cooking. Whether exploring new places, discovering something different, tending to her garden, or preparing a meal, she found joy in the simple pleasures and experiences that made life meaningful.

Mona leaves behind a loving family who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts, including her two children, Dana Church and Devin Jenkins, and her two beloved grandchildren, Clarence Jefferson and Jayla Jefferson. Though her passing leaves an unimaginable void, the love she shared and the memories she created will continue to bring comfort and strength to those she leaves behind.

Mona's life was a testament to the importance of family, devotion, and the lasting power of love. While her sudden departure has left her loved ones heartbroken, her spirit will live on through the lessons she taught, the moments they shared, and the countless ways she made their lives brighter.

She was the steady heart of our family—a mother whose devotion had no limits and whose kindness left a permanent mark on everyone she loved.

Though our time with Mona was far too short, the love she gave will never fade. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever treasured by all who knew her.

Rest peacefully, Mona. Your love is your legacy, your memories are our treasures, and you will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
