Seaford, VA - Richard Duane Ray, a devoted father and grandfather, passed away on July 25, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on May 17, 1956, in Saginaw, Michigan, he spent his final days in Seaford, Virginia, where he has resided for the last two and a half years.

Richard was the son of the late Wilfred and Mary (Holley) Ray. He graduated from Swan Valley high school and built a career as a commercial manager in the auto parts industry, where his dedication and expertise were highly regarded by colleagues and clients alike.

Richard is survived by his beloved daughters, Michelle (Ray) Read and her husband, Adam Mayfield and Kelli (Ray) Bryant and her husband Christopher Bryant, and his cherished grandchildren, Kolby Seabolt, Sean Read, Aidan Read, Dylan Read and Matthew Mayfield. In addition to his immediate family, he leaves behind many other special friends, who he thought of as family, including Pat, Jeff, April, Savannah, and Trent who will miss him dearly.
