Virginia Beach- On Sunday, January 15th 2023, Rick Coffren passed away peacefully at the age of 66. Rick was born on February 8, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pa. to Richard and Dolores (McDonald) Coffren.

He graduated in 1974 from Kellam High School in Virginia Beach, and continued to live, work and raise his family here.

If you knew Rick you know about all the things that he enjoyed in life. He loved his church, friends, the ocean and fishing. He was always ready to have a good time.

He is survived by 3 people who he treasured the most, his children Christian, Avery and Kirby

There is also his sister and brother-in-law, Dolores and Chuck Hall, and their family who will miss his jokes and words of wisdom.

And last, but not least, he is survived by his “Heaven Sent” angel Karen Ives who took care of him the last few weeks of his life and was there at the end to hold his hand so he knew he wasn’t alone.

Rick’s funeral mass will be held at 6:15PM, January 31, 2023 at Star of the Sea Catholic Church. 1404 Pacific Ave., Virginia Beach with a small reception after.
